Resource Chemical Company began operating in 1985, headquartered just outside Chicago, Illinois. Today Resource serves the international community through its European operation, Resource International Limited, based in Sheffield, England.
Resource's distinguishing
concept of recycling one industry's waste as another's feed material developed
as an initial project for the chemical industry. The construction of a well
audited programme of recycling for a catalyst, which had previously been landfilled,
was met with an enthusiastic response from the generators of the spent catalyst.
Building upon this initial programme Resource has established recycling routes
for a range of solid inorganic wastes and spent materials.
Recycling successes
occur because industrialists are willing to experiment and invest to achieve
environmentally sound solutions to apparently intractable waste problems.
Resource is the catalyst which makes the complete system of recycling come
together.
